Shannon’s professional journey began with an interest in engineering before discovering her passion for accounting while studying at the University of Connecticut. Drawn to the power of numbers and their ability to tell meaningful stories, she pursued a career in finance and analytics, gaining experience across a range of industries including manufacturing, utilities, banking, and nonprofit organizations.

Shannon has developed a reputation for connecting complex data with strategic outcomes. Early in her career, she expanded her expertise beyond traditional finance, learning coding and data infrastructure to better understand how information is collected, structured, and analyzed. This experience sparked an interest in the technical side of analytics and the role that strong data foundations play in guiding business strategy.

At BL Companies, Shannon focuses on transforming financial and operational data into actionable insights that empower teams across the organization. She is passionate about translating complex information into clear, digestible stories that help leaders understand the numbers behind the business and make informed decisions that drive long-term success.

In addition to her professional work, Shannon is committed to education and mentorship. She serves as an Adjunct Professor in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics at Post University, where she helps prepare graduate students to apply data analysis and visualization in real-world business environments.

Shannon also dedicates significant time to serving her community. She is an elected member of the Region 15 Board of Education, where she serves as Financial and Facilities Chairperson, and actively volunteers with local organizations supporting families and children. Through both her professional and community work, Shannon strives to use her skills to create meaningful impact.
