This is why we are excited to share some additions to the BL team as well as promotions to the senior leadership team.
Amy Samuelson, AIA has joined BL Companies as the Executive Director of Architecture & Building Engineering. In her role, Amy is responsible for managing the teams involved in all vertical construction and the systems within them. With over 25 years of experience, Amy is known for her team-building skills and will be sure to continue the growth trajectory of the ASMEP group’s expansion into existing markets including public, industrial, energy, and retail, to name a few.
Michelle Carlson, PE has been promoted to Executive Director of Land Development and Survey. In her new role, Michelle will oversee the strategic direction and expansion of the company’s civil engineering and land surveying services, ensuring the continued delivery of high-quality solutions to meet the evolving needs of our clients. “Michelle’s promotion is a testament to her exceptional leadership skills, technical expertise, and unwavering commitment to our clients,” said Derek Kohl, VP of Operations. “Her deep understanding of land development and proven track record position her well to lead our valued team of employee owners.”
Michelle has been with BL Companies for over 10 years. During her tenure, she has played a pivotal role in growing our national presence and her responsiveness to clients is unmatched.
Ian McPhillips, PE has been promoted to Director, Energy Engineering. In this role, Ian is responsible for the management and oversight of the energy group including project execution and development of our employee owners. With an eye toward business development and the in-house resources of multiple disciplines, Ian will continue to work with project managers and the senior leadership team on strategies to bring in new clients and energy-related opportunities. Newly promoted and in Amy’s case, new to BL, these members of the senior leadership team along with the entire group below, will play an important role in continuing to provide the high standards that you –our clients and business partners have come to expect.
