Jenny Kendall, a project manager in BL’s Cherry Hill (NJ) office, has been named a Philadelphia Business Journal Women of Influence Rising Star for 2026. This award honors women 35 years of age or younger who have achieved a high level of excellence and achievement early in their careers. They were chosen by the Forum of Executive Women.
This year’s class features 26 Women of Influence honorees (25 individual businesswomen and one group of four partners) one attorney (the annual Amber Racine Award) and seven Rising Stars. Honorees were chosen from a pool of nearly 200 nominations, which were submitted by the public and considered by the PBJ editorial board.
The women in this year’s class are leaders across industries including AEC, healthcare, technology, energy, banking and finance, law, the arts and more. All of the 2026 honorees will be celebrated at an event on Oct. 15 at The Switch House and profiled in a special edition of the Business Journal on Oct. 16.
Jenny joined BL and helped open the firm’s first Cherry Hill office, working primarily on ADA ramps in Philadelphia. As that book of business grew, the Cherry Hill team did as well, and BL’s work in the area became more ADA focused.
She became the lead of the transportation team in the Cherry Hill office as the firm began to win some of the largest ADA program jobs in recent history. To date, Jenny’s been involved in thousands of projects involving intersections, ramps and quads in Philadelphia, following litigation requiring ADA upgrades within the entire city.
Jenny and her team were also heavily involved in preparation for America 250, the World Cup and MLB All-Star Game and Home Run Derby, ensuring ramps in heavily trafficked areas — with quicker-than-usual turnaround and approval time — would be up to code before people started arriving this summer from all over the world. Count the Rocky statue, Benjamin Franklin Parkway and Broad Street among those projects.
