Improvements to two Town-owned athletic field complexes were required to accommodate the expanding school athletic programs for Windsor High School and Middle School. The design included the expansion of the existing O’Brien Field to accommodate a new competition soccer field in the interior of the existing track. The existing track was renovated with new synthetic surfacing. New field events, including pole vault and long jump were also renovated. Other enhancements consisted of drainage and turf improvements, recrowning and grading of competition fields, various irrigation improvements, and realignment of the practice soccer fields. Additionally, a new baseball field, practice football field, softball field, lacrosse and two soccer fields. New irrigation systems were also installed.
