Lisbon, Connecticut, epitomizes the phrase “small town America” with a population of less than 5,000 people. The Crossing at Lisbon is a 275,000 SF, mixed-use development, located on Route 12. The Crossing at Lisbon features a major retail center, restaurants and several smaller retail stores. Anchor stores include Target and Lowes.
BL Companies provided landscape design, layout of parking areas and traffic circulation within the site. Traffic engineering involved a traffic impact/site access study, site recommendations, the design of roadway improvements and access to the Crossing at Lisbon. Off-site design work consisted of the addition of turning lanes and other improvements to Route 12.
BL Companies was also responsible for on-site and off-site design, land surveying and permitting. Civil engineering work included the design of a storm water management/treatment system, relocation of a 300,000-gallon fire storage tank, design of wetland mitigation area and utility coordination.
