Costco, one of the largest general retailers in the United States, opened its first warehouse in Seattle, Washington in 1983. Today, they boast well over 500 locations throughout the country. BL Companies has regularly provided consulting services for Costco’s new construction, redevelopment and expansion endeavors throughout the Northeast, including conducting construction stakeout and layout for new stores, site development for wholesale warehousing and completing designs for fueling facilities.

Throughout the course of the partnership, BL Companies has been able to gain a thorough understanding of Costco’s programmatic needs, implementing carefully calculated steps related to expansion that adhere to local regulations.

BL Companies provides a full range of services including land surveying, traffic engineering, environmental sciences (inland wetlands delineation and assessment, Phase I ESA), permitting and construction oversight and assistance services for Costco construction.
