BL Companies is ranked No. 39 on the Charlotte Business Journal list of the largest engineering firms in the Charlotte, North Carolina, metropolitan area. The ranking is based on the number of local licensed engineers and more than 80 engineering firms are included on the list.
Michelle Carlson, PE, Executive Director of Land Development and Survey at BL Companies, leads the firm’s Charlotte office. The CBJ defines the Charlotte area as Alexander, Anson, Cabarrus, Catawba, Cleveland, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Rowan, Stanly and Union counties in North Carolina, and Chester, Chesterfield, Lancaster and York counties in South Carolina.
